About the Website

Cyclissimo Cycling does not need much of an introduction.

There is a need to keep Cyclissimo going!

The aim of Cyclissimo is to promote cycling in and around Aurora!

The following has been adapted from Jim Coppola Remembered written by Steve Fleck, as published in Pedal Magazine:

For many years it was Jim Coppola's dream to own his own bike shop. An avid road racer with a fearless and powerful sprint, Jim and his wife Tracy sold their security business and opened up the Cyclissimo bike shop in Aurora. Heading north from the sprawling and congested outer suburbs of Toronto, Aurora was where the cycling started to get really nice, on quiet country roads heading out in any direction, north, east or west. The shop thrived from the get-go and the Cyclissimo Bike Club was formed. The Club quickly swelled to well over 100 people, and Jim was at his best and most enthusiastic, when he was introducing new people to the sport road cycling and road racing. His greatest strength and his legacy, was that he brought people together, to work together, and to ride together!

The aim of the website is to create a simple web-presence for Cyclissimo. The website will hopefully also be an important part in the communication with existing and prospective cyclists. This will be where the most recent calendar detailing activities is published.

For most part the site will be fairly static, and will throughout the year be updated with calendar information as requirements change. After all summer is riding time!

Cyclists have to realise that Cyclissimo is for active cyclists and without participation will not be. While effort is required to keep the Cyclissimo going, the effort will be futile without cyclists attending. So be an active cyclist!
